About Jeremy Evans
I’m the author of In Search of Powder: A Story of America’s Disappearing Ski Bum (University of Nebraska Press). The book has been reviewed in regional and international publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Sacramento Bee, ESPN.com and Pique.
I am currently a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in Skiing, Powder and Adventure Sports Journal, and in newspapers such as the Seattle Times, Tacoma News Tribune and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. My first book follows an eight-year newspaper career as a sports writer that garnered numerous awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and Nevada Press Association for my sports and outdoors writing.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism at Marquette University and my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Sierra Nevada College. I live in South Lake Tahoe, California, with my wife, Isabelle, and daughter, Olivia.
